MAME Classic 4.6.0 Information

MAME Classic is a Windows Front-End for M.A.M.E.

Features:

  • Independent default options for Raster and Vector games

  • MAMEDiff support (requires mamediff.exe)
  • Numerous game filters

  • Game information (requires the history.dat file and/or mameinfo.dat file and/or cheat.dat file)
  • Alternate directories for each directory in the mame.ini file

  • Ability to find and delete ROMs which are no longer supported in M.A.M.E.
  • Maintenance to your M.A.M.E. directories

Requirements:

  • You must have the official Win32 M.A.M.E. MAME Classic does not support the different options of unofficial M.A.M.E. releases or MAME32.
  • You must have xml2info.exe in your M.A.M.E. folder. This file comes with M.A.M.E.
  • Your ROMs must be zipped in merged-split or full-split format (fully-merged is NOT supported).
  • Your screen shots must be unzipped.
  • Your screen resolution should be 800x600 or higher.
  • Your display should be set to Windows default (96 dpi).
