MetPad is a simple yet powerful text editor entirely written in Tcl/Tk and therefore runnable on many platforms. It provides an intuitive GUI and supports editing multiple files. Varoius shurtcut-keys allow speedy editing. Another productivity optimization is the included macro creator and the option to highlight the current line.
